Sand Creek Consultants, Inc. was hired to perform site investigation and remediation services at a former bulk plant in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Our services included completing a full site investigation, during which the extent and degree of both soil and groundwater contamination was defined. Following completion of the site investigation, SCC implemented a hot-spot remedial excavation resulting in the removal and off-site treatment of over 750 tons of gasoline- and diesel-contaminated soil.

Following the excavation, SCC conducted groundwater monitoring to demonstrate that natural attenuation was occurring at the site, and that contaminant levels would be reduced to below their enforcement standards in a reasonable period of time. Site closure was achieved following completion of several years of groundwater monitoring.

Typical clients include former gas stations, petroleum bulk plants, resorts, municipal maintenance shops, construction companies, and anywhere petroleum products are stored or spilled.
